The artist
Gujarati folk singer and a steward of the Music Space (committee seat since 5 Oct). In his own words: “I want to represent the rich and vibrant culture of Gujarat through my voice and music — the rich traditions, folk music, stories and emotions of Gujarat. Through my voice I want to keep these traditions alive and create an emotional connection with every listener.” Instagram @jaydeepdan_gadhavi · Telegram @Jaydeepdan.
The set
A 30-minute journey through Gujarat — soulful folk singing that carries the beauty, tradition and spirit of Gujarati culture to the room. Asks the room for a keyboard and tabla or dhol (brings nothing himself); a natural pairing with Aniket’s tabla player or the OSO percussion.
What moves them
My biggest inspiration is my love for music and my connection with Gujarati culture. I am inspired by the rich traditions, folk music, stories, and emotions of Gujarat. Through my voice, I want to keep these traditions alive, share their beauty with a wider audience, and create an emotional connection with every listener.
