The artist
I’m Maria Shilina, an experimental musician and sound artist performing as quefear. I work with modular synths, field recordings and acoustic objects, moving between noise, drone, ambient and electroacoustic improvisation. Alongside music, I work with Web3 and decentralized knowledge projects (Paradigm, Episteme, Humanode), so I’m especially interested in ideas of open systems, distributed control and emergence — both in technology and in sound.
The set
I’m proposing a 30-minute live electroacoustic improvisation with modular synthesis and amplified objects. The set is not fully predetermined: sounds interact, circulate through feedback loops and constantly reshape the performance. I like thinking of it as a small decentralized system — no single element completely controls what happens. The audience can expect an immersive, gradually evolving set moving through delicate textures, drones, resonance and moments of intensity.
